Who are her humans who make her vision a reality?

Glenda’s Gift is comprised of four board of directors, two of which are primary animal caretakers (in charge of the day to day grind) and two help manage the affairs of Glenda’s Gift.  All work tirelessly to carry out Glenda’s mission and vision.  They are:

My name is Kelly and I’m the President of Glenda’s Gift.  I’m also the head domestic engineer on our 10 acre farm and spend the majority of my day looking after (and cleaning up after…lots and lots of cleaning up after) our resident farm animals, rescued dogs and cats, as well as the residents of Glenda’s Gift.  I try to assist my husband, Joe, as best I can with nail trims, expressing anal glands, administering medication, and whatever else comes up, but with his training, he’s far more qualified than I…and it shows.  He always makes it look so easy!!  At any rate, despite being a slave to my house and my critters, I just love it and wouldn’t trade it for anything.

My name is Joseph and I’m the Treasurer of Glenda’s Gift.  As a veterinary technician and previous animal shelter manager, I intimately understand the dilemma of medically compromised animals and seniors.  My passion for animal care is obvious in my personal life and profession of choice.

My name is Pam Sasser and I am the Secretary of the Board of Directors for Glenda’s Gift. I live in Naples, Florida and summer in my hometown of Chicago with my husband Fred. I am active with our family business through travel, attending industry events, and philanthropy. I sat on the board of this business for many years. We have two wonderful rescue dogs, one we got from Kalamazoo, Michigan and the other is from a rural shelter in Larned, Kansas where Kelly and Joe were board members and managers. Adopting pets has become an important part of the culture of our family that is being passed down through the generations. I am very proud and look forward to being a director with Glenda’s Gift.

Hi, I’m Connie Jacobs and I am a General Director for Glenda's Gift. I reside at our horse farm in Fort Myers, Florida with my husband Jerry Jacobs. I have been the business manager of Jerry Jacobs Performance Horses for the last 10 years. We currently have permanent boarders on our farm and others who haul in for special training in Western Pleasure. I spend most of my days committing myself to the running of the farm and business. We are also lucky to have two terrific rescue dogs, Callie and Shadow, who are so special to Jerry and I. We spend all day with them as part of our family. I am a member of the board of directors for Glenda’s Gift and I’m excited to be associated with this much needed organization.
